          Pinhão is a village in the municipality of Alijó, within the Douro wine region of northern Portugal. It lies at the confluence of the Douro and Pinhão rivers, approximately 120 kilometres east of Porto, inside the Alto Douro Wine Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site designated in 2001 for its outstanding terraced vineyard landscape and centuries of continuous wine production.
