          Baunei is a municipality in the Ogliastra province of eastern Sardinia, Italy, situated at approximately 500 metres elevation on the Supramonte limestone plateau. It administers the coastal locality of Santa Maria Navarrese and forms part of the Gulf of Orosei and Gennargentu National Park, a protected area recognised for its exceptional coastal and mountain biodiversity.
