          Cape Sounion is located at the southern tip of Attica in Greece, about 70 kilometers southeast of Athens. The site is crowned by the Temple of Poseidon, a fifth-century BCE marble structure overlooking the Aegean Sea. Visitors hike the coastal paths, explore the ancient ruins, and photograph the temple at sunset, making it a popular day trip from the capital.
          Cape Sounion is located at the southernmost point of the Attica peninsula in Greece, approximately 70 kilometers south of Athens. The site is administered by the Greek Ministry of Culture and sits within the regional unit of Eastern Attica, overlooking the convergence of the Saronic and Myrtoan seas at an elevation of approximately 60 meters above sea level.
