Montserrat
Located just one hour away from central Barcelona, Montserrat is considered to be the most important mountain in Catalonia. A unique massif famous for its spirituality, its gothic shapes and beautiful views, also ideal for all sort of treks and climbing. The guided tour consists of an extended visit throughout the Basilica and Monastery, after which you will have time to explore the site on your own.You have many activity options, such as exploring the monastery, visiting the museum, or shopping at the Farmer’s Market. Additionally, after the visit, you may hear l’Escolania de Montserrat, Europe’s oldest Boys’ Choir, subject to availability and booking. Another option is to take a funicular ride to the top of the mountain or to visit the holy cave.
Multi-course meal at a local restaurant
After Montserrat, we head to the grounds of Oller del Mas, one of the most important and beautiful wineries in the region. After a brief 30-minute drive, we’ll stop at Oller del Mas restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a fantastic local meal and regional wine. Believe us, this is by no means your typical “tour food”! It is our challenge to thrill all our clients with and unforgettable feast.
Oller del Mas Cellar
Our expert guides will lead the cellar visit in the afternoon. Oller del Mas has exceptional organic wines that have won multiple awards recently. One of their wines is even among the fourteen “vi de finca,” the highest recognition for wines in Spain. This shows the exceptional quality of the wines produced by Oller del Mas. But the cellar is not only special for its wines. Located in an impressive castle that dates back to over a thousand years ago, some of its walls still are 10th century originals. You will stroll through the vineyards, learn about wine production, and uncover all its secrets.
Last but not least comes the wine tasting, where you will taste three organic wines. Your guide will give tips to impress friends and family after the tasting, regardless of experience.
