          Solheimajokull est un glacier d'écoulement situé dans le sud de l'Islande, dans la région de Myrdalshreppur. Faisant partie de la calotte glaciaire plus grande de Myrdalsjokull, il descend des hautes altitudes vers les plaines de sable noir en contrebas.           Solheimajokull is an outlet glacier of the Myrdalsjokull ice cap located on Iceland's south coast, approximately 180 kilometers southeast of Reykjavik. It sits within a region shaped by intense volcanic and glacial forces, flanked by the active Katla volcano subglacial system. The glacier has retreated measurably over recent decades, making it a documented site for climate observation as well as one of Iceland's most visited natural attractions.
