          Godafoss es una cascada ubicada en el norte de Islandia, conocida por su forma dramática de herradura y su poderosa caída. El nombre significa "cascada de los dioses" en islandés.           Godafoss is located in the Bardardalur valley of northeastern Iceland, situated directly on Route 1 (the Ring Road) approximately 50 kilometers east of Akureyri and 50 kilometers west of Lake Myvatn. The waterfall is part of the Diamond Circle, a popular touring route in north Iceland encompassing Lake Myvatn, Dettifoss, Husavik, and Asbyrgi Canyon. The Skjalfandafljot River, one of Iceland's longest, feeds the falls before continuing south through the interior highlands.
