This Capo Caccia snorkelling tour takes you into the heart of one of Sardinia's most protected and pristine marine environments. From the dramatic limestone cliffs of the promontory to the turquoise coves below, every stop on this excursion reveals a side of Alghero that most visitors never see.
Departing from the Diving Centre in Alghero, you board a modern inflatable dinghy and set out along the rugged northwestern coastline of Sardinia. Your guide provides naturalistic and historical commentary throughout the journey, offering context to the landscapes unfolding around you.
The route passes landmark viewpoints including Isola Foradada and Isola Piana, both part of the nature reserve and reachable only from the water. Depending on conditions, you make two or three stops of around 20 to 30 minutes each, where you enter the water to observe the marine life below.
The Marine Protected Area is home to a remarkable diversity of species, and sightings of dolphins along the route are not uncommon. All snorkelling equipment is provided, making this excursion accessible to participants with no prior experience.

How the Tour Unfolds
Gather at the Diving Centre in Alghero, where the guide introduces the itinerary and all snorkelling equipment is fitted and distributed to participants.
Board the inflatable dinghy and begin the journey along the coast toward Capo Caccia. Your guide shares naturalistic and historical insights about the landscape and the protected marine area.
Pass by the distinctive sea-carved formations of Isola Foradada and the protected natural reserve of Isola Piana, both inaccessible by land and best appreciated from the water.
Make two to three stops of approximately 20 to 30 minutes each, depending on weather and sea conditions. Enter the water to explore the underwater environment directly below the cliffs.
The dinghy returns along the coastline to the departure point, completing a full circuit of the main points of interest within the Marine Protected Area of Capo Caccia.
