It was here that Picasso produced Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, the painting widely credited with launching Cubism.

A short walk leads to the Wall of Love, created by calligrapher Frederic Baron and mural artist Claire Kito. Its 612 enameled lava tiles display the phrase in 250 languages, with red splashes scattered across the surface representing a broken heart made whole.
