What to Expect
Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Look for the distinctive blue and orange Rent a Boat flag at the van stand in Belem Marina or at the office in Alcantara's Goncalves Zarco building.
Board your chosen sailboat and receive your welcome drink. The skipper will provide a brief safety overview before casting off from the dock.
Set sail along the Tagus, passing landmarks including the Electricity Museum, MAAT, Commerce Square, Alfama, the National Pantheon, and the Champalimaud Foundation. The skipper provides commentary throughout.
Continue past the 25th of April Bridge, the Christ statue on the Almada hillside, Belem Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries. The Pontal de Cacilhas and the Ponto Final restaurant viewpoint are also visible from the water.
The boat returns to the departure marina at the end of the tour. Optional tapas or private transfer arrangements can be coordinated in advance with the operator.
