Prosecco Tasting in a Countryside Winery
From vine to glass: an intimate journey through Glera vineyards and the art of Prosecco DOCG production.
Set among five hectares of hillside vineyards in the Veneto countryside, this family-owned winery delivers a Prosecco DOCG tasting experience that connects visitors directly with the land, the grapes, and the generations of craft behind every bottle.
The experience opens on a panoramic terrace with sweeping views over the rolling hills where Glera grapes are grown. Guests learn about the local microclimate, the significance of the DOCG designation, and the meticulous production steps — from hand-harvesting through to the final stage of spumantizzazione using the Charmat method.
A guided tasting of three to four Prosecco varieties follows, each produced exclusively from estate grapes and paired with traditional Italian accompaniments including Bibanesi and grissini. The pairing is deliberate: these regional snacks highlight the fresh, delicate character of the wines without overwhelming them.
After the tasting, guests are free to walk the vineyard rows at their own pace, observing the terrain and the hand-harvesting practices still used today. A visit to the underground cellar rounds out the production story, showing where grapes are destemmed, softly pressed, and fermented in temperature-controlled vats before the final sparkling process takes place.
