Goðafoss Waterfall, Laufás Museum & Forest Lagoon Private Adventure
A private journey through Iceland's northern landscapes, history, and geothermal waters
This private tour from Akureyri brings together three of North Iceland's most compelling destinations in a single five-hour itinerary, combining natural spectacle, cultural heritage, and geothermal relaxation in one seamless experience.
The tour is led by the Fox Adventure team and follows the shoreline of Eyjafjörður, one of Iceland's longest fjords, before heading inland to the iconic Goðafoss waterfall. Your guide will point out landscape features along the route and help you find the best vantage points for photography at each stop.
Because this is a private tour, the pace and focus can be adjusted to suit your group. Whether you linger longer at the museum or spend extra time by the falls, the itinerary is shaped around your interests rather than a fixed group schedule.
The final stop at the Forest Lagoon offers a natural transition from sightseeing to relaxation. Geothermal pools and steam baths overlook the fjord, making it one of the more rewarding ways to close out a day in the north.
Tour Highlights
Stand beside Goðafoss, a historically significant waterfall with panoramic photographic potential and, on clear days, rainbow formations in the mist.

Soak in the geothermal waters of the Forest Lagoon, widely regarded as one of the most scenic bathhouses in Iceland with views across Eyjafjörður.
Travel the full length of Eyjafjörður, one of Iceland's longest fjords, with a dedicated photo stop offering a sweeping view back toward Akureyri.
Receive hands-on photography guidance from your guide at the waterfall, helping you capture the best angles and lighting conditions available.
Conclude with a guided drive through Akureyri's old town and downtown, with recommendations from your guide for further independent exploration.
