Cairo Private Trip to Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum
One carefully guided day linking the ancient wonders of Giza with the world's largest museum.
This private Giza Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum tour brings together two of Egypt's most significant sites in a single, well-paced full-day experience led by a licensed Egyptologist guide who provides context that a self-guided visit simply cannot replicate.
Beginning with a flexible hotel pickup anywhere in Cairo or Giza, the itinerary moves from the Grand Egyptian Museum's monumental entrance hall to the plateau at Giza, covering the three great pyramids, the Valley Temple, and the Great Sphinx before returning you to your accommodation by early evening.
A traditional Egyptian lunch at a restaurant near the plateau is included, giving you a natural break between the museum visit and the outdoor exploration of the pyramid complex.
The tour is rated easy in terms of physical demand, though the Giza plateau involves walking on uneven terrain. The pace is set by your guide and adjusted to your group's preferences throughout the day.

Itinerary
Your licensed Egyptologist guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel or at your chosen location in Cairo or Giza at the time selected during booking. The private vehicle then drives directly to the Grand Egyptian Museum on the edge of the Giza plateau.
The visit begins at the museum's entrance forecourt, where the colossal statue of Ramses II stands at over eleven metres tall. Inside, the Grand Staircase presents a curated sequence of statues, stelae, and reliefs; the Tutankhamun galleries display the king's complete funerary collection under one roof for the first time. Note that some main exhibition halls remain partially open pending the museum's full official inauguration.
After the museum, the group moves to a nearby local restaurant for a traditional Egyptian lunch. The setting offers views toward the pyramid plateau and provides a comfortable rest before the afternoon outdoor visit.
The afternoon opens with close-up access to the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of Khafre. The vehicle then repositions to the western panorama point, where all three pyramids — Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure — are visible together in one composition. An optional camel ride is available at this stop at personal expense.
The tour continues to the Valley Temple, a well-preserved Old Kingdom structure built from limestone and red granite and closely associated with the mortuary complex of Khafre. From here, the guide leads the group to the Great Sphinx for a direct view and explanation of this iconic monument.
After the Sphinx visit, the private vehicle returns you to your hotel or apartment in Cairo or Giza, completing the full-day itinerary.
