Sotogrande Private Boat Charter for Groups of 8 – Experience the Sea
Set sail from one of southern Spain's most exclusive marinas and explore the waters where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic.
A Sotogrande private boat charter offers your group an intimate, fully flexible sailing experience departing from the prestigious Puerto Sotogrande marina. With a professional crew at the helm, you are free to relax, swim, and take in the coastline at your own pace. The tour adapts to groups of up to eight people for a truly exclusive time on the water.
Departing from Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande, one of the most storied nautical clubs on the southern Iberian coast, this charter places you at a rare geographical crossroads. The marina sits where the Mediterranean Sea transitions toward the Strait of Gibraltar and the open Atlantic, delivering panoramic seascapes that are difficult to replicate anywhere else in Andalusia.
The sailboat heads toward sheltered anchorages such as Punta Mala, a coastal promontory near La Alcaidesa with clear waters, low cliffs, and views stretching across to the Rock of Gibraltar. On clear days, the Moroccan coastline is visible on the horizon, providing a vivid reminder of how close two continents sit to one another here.
The charter is designed with flexibility in mind. You choose the duration between two and six hours, bring your own food and drinks, and even welcome pets on board. The crew handles navigation, safety, and anchoring so that your group can focus entirely on enjoying the experience.

Itinerary
Board the private sailboat at the Real Club Marítimo de Sotogrande. The crew welcomes your group, provides a safety briefing, and prepares to depart from the marina's sheltered berths.
Head out along the coastline, passing landmarks such as Punta Chullera with its long sandy beach, transparent waters, and the remnants of a Nasrid watchtower at its western tip. The crew adjusts the route based on wind and sea conditions.
The sailboat drops anchor near Punta Mala, a naturally sheltered spot off La Alcaidesa in San Roque. This is the primary swimming stop, where the water is calm and the scenery includes coastal cliffs and an unobstructed view toward Gibraltar.
After swimming and relaxing at anchor, the crew sets sail for the return leg. The journey back offers further views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the surrounding coastline before arriving at Puerto Sotogrande.
