Private 3-Day Normandy Tour from Paris

D-Day Beaches, Mont Saint-Michel and the Heart of Historical Normandy

Three days. One region. A thousand years of history brought to life by an expert local guide.

This private 3-day Normandy tour from Paris is designed for travelers who want genuine immersion rather than a surface-level visit. Your licensed guide shapes each day around your pace, your interests, and the stories that matter most to you.

Normandy rewards those who slow down. Between its D-Day landing beaches, its medieval abbeys, its half-timbered manor houses, and its apple orchards, the region carries layers of history that a single day from Paris can never uncover.

Over three days, you will walk the sands of Omaha and Utah Beach, climb toward the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, and stand inside Falaise Castle surrounded by holograms of the Norman dukes who once ruled there. Each site is connected by the stories your guide tells along the way.

Normandy is far more than a day trip. Local Calvados distilleries, the Cornille Havard bell foundry, the Scriptorial of Avranches, and the Bayeux Tapestry round out a journey that covers both world wars and the Norman Conquest in equal depth.

Tour Highlights

Walk Omaha Beach and Utah Beach with a licensed guide who brings the events of June 6, 1944 to life using media and digital resources on site.

Explore the fully restored Falaise Castle with furnished rooms and hologram projections of the Norman dukes in every chamber.

Discover Mont Saint-Michel, including the history of its Abbey and, when tides and conditions allow, a guided walk across the bay.

Visit the Scriptorial of Avranches and learn how monks produced illuminated manuscripts at the Abbey of Mont Saint-Michel from the 10th to the 17th century.

Stand at Pointe du Hoc, where 225 Rangers scaled 150-foot cliffs on D-Day, and visit the Normandy American Cemetery honoring 9,388 fallen soldiers.

See the original Bayeux Tapestry, a 1077 artwork depicting the Battle of Hastings and the beginning of Norman rule in England.

Taste authentic Camembert in the village of Camembert and sample Calvados apple brandy at one of the region's finest local distilleries.

Itinerary Overview

1
Day 1: The D-Day Landing Beaches

Begin at Sainte-Mere-Eglise, the first town liberated on D-Day by US Airborne Divisions, and visit the Airborne Museum. Move on to Brécourt Manor, where Easy Company captured four German Howitzer guns, then walk Utah Beach and explore the WN62 bunkers at Omaha Beach. Close the day at Pointe du Hoc and the Normandy American Cemetery.

2
Day 2: Mont Saint-Michel and the Scriptorial of Avranches

Spend a full day at Mont Saint-Michel, exploring the island, the Abbey, and the stories of the monks, pilgrims, and knights who shaped it over more than 1,000 years. In Avranches, the Scriptorial reveals how the Abbey's precious manuscripts were created. The nearby Cornille Havard Foundry in Villedieu-les-Poeles, heir to a medieval tradition, shows how monumental bells are still cast by hand today.

3
Day 3: Medieval Normandy and the Norman Conquest

Visit Falaise Castle and its holographic dukes, then continue to Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, where William the Conqueror assembled his fleet of 1,000 ships in 1066. Stop at the Castle of Crevecoeur-en-Auge, the best-preserved medieval fiefdom in Normandy, before concluding with the Bayeux Tapestry and a tasting of Camembert and Calvados.

4
Throughout: Personalized Guidance and Local Tastings

Your private guide adapts the pace and focus of each day to your preferences. Local food and drink experiences, including Camembert at its source and Calvados at a regional distillery, are woven into the journey rather than treated as extras.
