Itinerary Overview
Your Egyptologist guide collects you from your Cairo or Giza hotel and heads to the Giza Plateau for visits to the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple of Khafre, and a panoramic camel ride. After lunch at a local restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options available, the tour continues to the Egyptian Museum, where royal mummies and golden artifacts are on display. The day closes with a walk through Khan El Khalili, one of the oldest markets in the Islamic world, before returning to your hotel.
Pickup is flexible from your hotel, Luxor Airport, Luxor train station, or either bank of the Nile. The day begins at the Valley of the Kings, where dozens of rock-cut royal tombs date back thousands of years. From there the group visits the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a brief stop at the Colossi of Memnon, a Nile felucca sail, and finally the vast Karnak Complex with its pylons, obelisks, chapels, and sacred lake.
The final day takes you to Alexandria, Egypt's Mediterranean city, where layers of Hellenistic, Roman, and Islamic history meet the sea. Key landmarks along the Alexandrian coastline and city center are visited with your guide before transfer back to Cairo.
All transfers use private, air-conditioned vehicles with hotel pickup and drop-off included. Lunches on tour days are taken at local restaurants, with dietary alternatives accommodated on request. The Luxor portion of the tour can be scheduled on the day following the Cairo visit or on a separate date, depending on your travel plan.
