Luxor and Abu Simbel 2-Day Private Tour from Hurghada
Two of Egypt's greatest wonders, explored at your own pace with a dedicated Egyptologist by your side.
This Luxor and Abu Simbel private tour from Hurghada brings together the most celebrated monuments of ancient Egypt in a single, well-organized two-day journey. Travelers move through millennia of history guided by an expert who adapts each visit to individual interests. The itinerary is designed to maximize discovery while keeping the experience comfortable and stress-free.
Luxor alone holds an estimated third of the world's ancient monuments, and this tour covers its defining landmarks in a single focused day. From the colossal columns of Karnak to the rock-cut royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings, every stop reveals a different chapter of pharaonic civilization. The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut and the twin Colossi of Memnon round out a day that feels both comprehensive and unhurried.
Abu Simbel, carved into a sandstone cliff on the shores of Lake Nasser, represents one of the most audacious construction projects of the ancient world. The temples built by Ramses II and dedicated to Queen Nefertari were later the subject of a landmark UNESCO engineering effort that relocated them entirely to save them from rising floodwaters. Visiting them with a private guide who explains both the original construction and the modern relocation adds a layer of understanding that self-guided visits rarely achieve.
Private transfers in a modern air-conditioned vehicle connect every location on the route, and hotel accommodation in Luxor bridges the two days of the tour. Entrance fees and included meals remove the typical friction of independent travel, allowing guests to concentrate entirely on the experience itself.

Itinerary
A private vehicle collects you from your Hurghada accommodation and drives you west across the Eastern Desert to Luxor. Upon arrival, your Egyptologist guide introduces the city and begins the day's programme at the Karnak Temple Complex.
Karnak's vast hypostyle hall and sacred lake set the tone for a morning of discovery before the tour continues to the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank. Your guide explains the significance of the royal burial site and accompanies you into selected tombs.
The afternoon is spent at the three-tiered mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, followed by a stop at the twin seated Colossi of Memnon that have guarded the Theban plain for more than three thousand years. Overnight in Luxor.
An early departure takes you south to Abu Simbel, where your guide leads a thorough exploration of both the Great Temple of Ramses II and the adjacent Temple of Queen Nefertari. The history of the UNESCO relocation project is explained on site, offering context that transforms the visit.
Following the Abu Simbel visit, the group stops in Aswan for lunch before the private vehicle begins the return journey to Hurghada. Guests are dropped off directly at their hotel, completing a two-day circuit that spans some of the most significant ancient sites on earth.
