8 Days Across Tunisia: Desert, History, and the Mediterranean
From the ancient ruins of Carthage to the golden dunes of the Sahara, this is Tunisia seen in full.
This Tunisia Essential Discovery Tour takes travelers across eight days of remarkable contrast, moving from UNESCO-listed medinas and Roman amphitheaters to troglodyte villages and luxury desert camps. The route covers the country's most significant cultural and natural landmarks in a carefully paced, easy-difficulty itinerary. It is designed for those who want a genuine introduction to Tunisia without sacrificing comfort.
Tunisia occupies a unique crossroads where Berber, Phoenician, Roman, and Arab civilizations have each left a lasting imprint on the landscape. Over the course of this journey, travelers witness that layered history firsthand, from the mosaics of the Bardo National Museum to the carved canyons near the Algerian border. The route moves deliberately, allowing time to absorb each destination rather than simply pass through it.
The itinerary balances structured guided visits with moments of genuine discovery, such as sampling street pastries in Kairouan's medina or watching the stars from a Sahara campfire. Accommodation ranges from four-star city hotels to a luxury desert camp, ensuring rest and comfort throughout. This tour suits first-time visitors to Tunisia as well as returning travelers who have not yet ventured beyond the coast.
