Barcelona 2-Day Gaudi, Sagrada Familia, Montserrat & Winery
Two days, one private guide, and the full depth of Barcelona and Catalonia
This Barcelona 2-day private tour covers the city's greatest architectural landmarks on Day 1 and takes you into the Catalan countryside on Day 2, combining Montserrat's dramatic mountain monastery with a visit to the historic Codorniu Cava Cellars.
On the first day, your private guide leads you through the Gothic Quarter, past La Boqueria Market, and along Passeig de Gracia to see the Modernista facades of Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. The afternoon is devoted to Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia, where skip-the-line tickets and an audio guide are provided.
The second day begins with a private car transfer to Montserrat, where you visit the Benedictine Monastery, meet the Black Madonna, and hike to the Creu de Sant Miquel viewpoint. After a Catalan lunch with valley views, the route continues to the Codorniu Cava Cellars for an underground train ride through the historic galleries and a guided sparkling wine tasting.
Both days are fully private, meaning the pace, stops, and conversations adapt to your group rather than a fixed crowd schedule.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Your guide meets you at your hotel and leads you into the medieval Gothic Quarter, passing through ancient city gates and stopping at the Gothic Church set between the Oriol and Pi Squares. You also visit La Boqueria, the city's oldest market, and pause for coffee at Pablo Picasso's favourite bar, where he held his first exhibition.
The route continues along Passeig de Gracia, the elegant boulevard that showcases Catalan Modernisme at its height, including the facades of Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. A tapas lunch with wine on a terrace on Rambla Catalunya follows before the afternoon programme begins.
The afternoon takes you to Park Guell in the upper part of the city for sweeping views over Barcelona, then on to the Sagrada Familia. Your guide walks you around all the facades and explains the history and symbolism before handing over skip-the-line tickets and an audio guide for independent exploration inside the basilica.
On Day 2, your guide collects you by private car for the roughly one-hour drive to Montserrat. At the mountain, you visit the Benedictine Monastery, meet the Black Madonna, and take a short hike to the Creu de Sant Miquel viewpoint. There is also an opportunity to sample local cheeses and cured meats from regional producers at the site.
A traditional Catalan lunch is served at an open-air restaurant overlooking the Penedes Valley and the Montserrat massif. The meal introduces the typical flavours of the region paired with local wine.
The final stop is the historic Codorniu estate, where an underground narrow-gauge train takes you through kilometres of vaulted cellars. A wine expert guides the group through the cava production process and leads a tasting of two Reserva sparkling wines and one 5-year Reserva, served with local charcuterie and cheese before the private return to Barcelona.
