          Chiavari is a historic coastal city located on the Gulf of Tigullio in the Liguria region of northwestern Italy, positioned between Genoa (approximately 35 km to the northwest) and La Spezia (approximately 60 km to the southeast) along the Italian Riviera di Levante. The municipality sits at sea level on a narrow coastal plain backed by the Ligurian Apennines, with the Entella River forming its western boundary.
