Bar is a coastal municipality in southern Montenegro on the Adriatic Sea. The Municipality of Bar is located on the southeastern Adriatic coast of Montenegro, bordered by the Rumija mountain range to the east and the Adriatic Sea to the west. It sits approximately 40 kilometres south of Budva and 25 kilometres north of the Albanian border, serving as a key transit and ferry hub on the southern Montenegrin coast. The area encompasses both the modern port town and the ruined medieval settlement of Stari Bar, as well as a significant portion of Montenegro's olive-growing heritage.
