This private kayak tour departs from Lagos, a coastal town in the western Algarve region of southern Portugal. The tour focuses on Ponta da Piedade, a headland located approximately 3 kilometres south of Lagos town centre, renowned for its dramatic sandstone sea stacks, arches, and grottos sculpted by Atlantic erosion. The Algarve coastline in this area is part of the Vicentina Coast and Southwest Alentejo and Algarve Coast Natural Park, a protected natural area. Lagos itself is a well-established base for water sports and coastal tourism in Portugal, accessible via Faro International Airport approximately 90 kilometres to the east.
