Imerovigli is a village located on the western caldera rim of Santorini (Thira), in the South Aegean region of Greece, within the Cyclades island group. Positioned at the highest elevation along the caldera arc, it sits between Firostefani to the south and the open ridge leading toward Oia to the north. The settlement is built into pumice and volcanic ash cliffs formed by the Minoan eruption approximately 3,600 years ago, one of the largest volcanic events in recorded human history.
