Pompeii and Vesuvius with Wine Tasting from the Coast
Ancient ruins, a living volcano, and the flavors of Campania in a single unforgettable day
This full-day tour combines the archaeological wonders of Pompeii and Vesuvius with a visit to a working Campanian winery, offering a layered encounter with the region's history, geology, and culinary heritage. Departing directly from your accommodation on the coast, you benefit from door-to-door convenience without the stress of navigating public transport.
The archaeological site of Pompeii preserves the urban fabric of a prosperous Roman city frozen in 79 AD, when a catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried it under meters of volcanic ash and pumice. Walking through its streets alongside a specialist guide reveals details that a self-guided visit would almost certainly miss.
After an authentic winery lunch with wine tasting featuring wines grown in volcanic soil, the group travels to the summit area of Mount Vesuvius. The ascent along the Gran Cono path brings you to the crater rim, where the panorama across the Gulf of Naples stretches far beyond what photographs can convey.
