          More to know about Hveragerdi

Hveragerði is a geothermal town in southwestern Iceland, located in the Hveragerðisbær municipality about 45 kilometers from Reykjavík. The town sits above hot springs and geothermal fields, with steam rising from the ground throughout the area. Visitors hike the nearby Reykjadalur valley, explore local greenhouses heated naturally by geothermal energy, and visit hot spring bathing pools to experience Iceland's volcanic landscape.

Hveragerði is a small town in the Ölfus municipality of Southwest Iceland, situated approximately 45 kilometres east of Reykjavik along Route 1. It lies within an unusually active geothermal zone where surface vents, boiling pools, and the Reykjadalur hot river valley make it one of Iceland's most accessible volcanic landscapes. The town gained international attention following the 2008 earthquake that reshaped its geothermal features and serves as a practical base for Golden Circle exploration.
