          More to know about Clermont-Ferrand

Clermont-Ferrand is a city in the Auvergne region of central France, situated on a volcanic plateau. It is dominated by the Cathedral of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, built from dark lava stone, and overlooks the dramatic Puy de Dôme volcano. Visitors typically explore the historic old town, visit the cathedral, and hike the nearby volcanic landscape for panoramic views across the region.
Clermont-Ferrand is the prefecture of the Puy-de-Dome department in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of south-central France, situated at approximately 400 metres elevation within the Massif Central. The city and its surrounding Chaine des Puys volcanic chain were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018.
