          Câmara de Lobos is a fishing village on the south coast of Madeira, an autonomous region of Portugal in the Atlantic Ocean. Known for its dramatic coastal cliffs and traditional wooden boats, the village has long attracted artists and writers.           Câmara de Lobos is a coastal municipality on Madeira's southern shore, approximately 9 kilometers west of Funchal, Portugal. The destination is notable for its active fishing harbor, proximity to Cabo Girão (one of Europe's highest sea cliffs), and cultural associations with Winston Churchill, who painted the harbor scene during visits in the early 1950s.
