          Aphrodisias is an ancient city in southwestern Türkiye, located in the Aydın region of the Aegean. Built in the first century BC, it features remarkably preserved marble temples, a stadium, and an odeon dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite. The site showcases exceptional Greco-Roman sculpture and architecture.           Aphrodisias is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located near the village of Geyre in Karacasu district, Aydin Province, western Turkey. The site, excavated extensively by New York University, is renowned for its marble sculptures, well-preserved stadium, and layered history spanning Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods. It sits in the Büyük Menderes River valley approximately 230 kilometres south of Izmir.
