Travel in a small group with a local Icelandic guide who brings personal stories and regional expertise to every stop.
Itinerary
The first stop is Seljalandsfoss, where a path loops behind the waterfall for a perspective most visitors do not expect. A short walk from there leads to Gljúfrabúi, a hidden waterfall concealed within a rocky gorge.
One of Iceland's largest waterfalls, Skógafoss plunges 60 metres into a wide pool, often producing a visible rainbow on clear days. The sheer volume of water creates a constant mist that visitors can feel from a considerable distance.
The tour pauses in Vík, Iceland's southernmost village, for a lunch break. Nestled beneath towering cliffs and facing the North Atlantic, the village offers a scenic and practical midpoint to the day.
Reynisfjara is among Iceland's most photographed coastal locations, known for its dark volcanic sand, geometric basalt columns, and the sea stacks of Reynisdrangar rising from the surf. Atlantic waves here are powerful and unpredictable.
The tour concludes its main stops at Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier of the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap. Visitors walk to the glacier's edge to observe its textured surface, crevasses, and the surrounding volcanic landscape. Glacier hikes are not included.
The group boards the minibus for a scenic drive back to Reykjavík, arriving in the early evening. The return journey offers additional views of the South Coast landscape as daylight fades.
