How the Experience Unfolds
You arrive at Massimiliano's studio in Cannaregio, where he introduces himself and provides a brief overview of Venetian glassmaking traditions and how the craft has evolved over several centuries.
The master artisan explains the instruments used in the process and demonstrates how raw glass reacts to heat. You observe the furnace, the colours, and the fundamental properties of the material before touching it yourself.
Under close supervision, you begin working with the glass. Massimiliano guides each step of the process, helping you shape and form the material into a finished object at your own pace.
Once your piece is complete, the artisan explains the cooling process required to stabilise the glass. This final technical stage is part of understanding the full craft, not just the visible performance.
