Medinat Habu, Ramesseum and Luxor Temple Full-Day Tour from Hurghada
Walk through three millennia of pharaonic history across Luxor's most storied sites in a single unforgettable day
This full-day Luxor temples day tour from Hurghada brings you face to face with some of the finest pharaonic monuments on both banks of the Nile, guided by a qualified Egyptologist who contextualises every carved wall and painted ceiling along the way.
The itinerary covers Medinat Habu on the West Bank, a mortuary temple built by Ramesses III that remains one of the best-preserved religious structures in all of Egypt. Its towering pylon and vividly painted reliefs give a rare sense of how these spaces looked when they were first completed.
The route then continues to the Ramesseum, the mortuary temple of Ramesses II, where colossal fallen statues of the pharaoh still lie among the ruins. The afternoon is dedicated to Luxor Temple on the East Bank, a monument begun by Amenhotep III and expanded over successive reigns before Ramesses II added the forecourt and obelisks that define its entrance today.
A lunch break is included between the West Bank visits and the afternoon temple, giving travellers time to rest before exploring Luxor Temple as the light shifts toward the softer tones of late afternoon.

Itinerary
Your guide and driver collect you from your hotel in Hurghada early in the morning. The journey to Luxor takes approximately two hours along the desert road connecting the Red Sea coast to the Nile Valley.
Your first stop on the West Bank is Medinat Habu, the mortuary temple commissioned by Ramesses III between 1184 and 1153 BC. The main pylon stands largely intact and the interior walls retain an exceptional amount of their original painted decoration, offering a vivid picture of New Kingdom religious art.
A short drive brings you to the Ramesseum, the funerary temple of Ramesses II. Although more ruined than Medinat Habu, the site is historically significant and the collapsed granite colossi of the pharaoh remain among the most striking remnants of the New Kingdom.
The group pauses for a seated lunch at a local restaurant before crossing to the East Bank. This break allows time to rest and reflect before the final site of the day.
Luxor Temple stands at the heart of the modern city and was built primarily by Amenhotep III, then extended by Tutankhamun, Horemheb and Ramesses II. Your Egyptologist guide explains how each successive ruler left a distinct architectural and decorative signature on the complex.
After the visit to Luxor Temple, the group departs for the return journey to Hurghada. Drop-off is at your hotel.
