Sibenik and Krka National Park Tour from Zadar
Waterfalls, medieval history, and Adriatic scenery in a single unforgettable day.
This full-day journey combines two of Dalmatia's most rewarding destinations, giving you time at the Krka National Park waterfalls and a guided walk through the UNESCO-listed heart of Sibenik. The pace is easy, the landscapes are striking, and the itinerary is thoughtfully structured for first-time visitors and returning travellers alike.
Travelling south along the Adriatic coast from Zadar, the route passes through a landscape shaped by centuries of Venetian, Ottoman, and Croatian influence. Sibenik sits at the mouth of the Krka River estuary and its compact old town rewards unhurried exploration on foot.
After leaving Sibenik, the tour continues inland to Lozovac, the main entrance to Krka National Park. The park protects a limestone canyon carved by the Krka River, and its system of cascades and natural pools makes it one of the most visited natural sites in Croatia.

Itinerary
The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Zadar before heading south along the Adriatic coast toward Sibenik. The drive offers views of the Dalmatian shoreline and surrounding islands.
Your guide leads you through the medieval lanes of Sibenik's old town, with a focus on the recently restored St James's Cathedral. Built during the Renaissance using stone quarried from nearby islands, the cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose exterior stonework corresponds directly with the interior vault design.
After the guided portion, you have free time to explore the old town independently, browse local shops, or stop for a coffee along the waterfront promenade.
The group travels inland to the Lozovac entrance of Krka National Park. From the entrance, a short descent leads to the river canyon and the start of the Skradinski Buk trail system.
Skradinski Buk is the park's largest waterfall complex, featuring a series of cascades and travertine pools set within lush vegetation. Free time allows you to follow the boardwalk trails, sit by the river, or find a quiet spot to take in the surroundings. Lunch is on your own account at the park.
After time at the park, the group departs for Zadar with a transfer back to your hotel, concluding the tour.
