Built in 1644 and named for its donor Izaak Jakubowicz, banker to King Ladislaus IV of Poland, this Orthodox synagogue stands as one of the most significant religious sites in the Kazimierz district. Solve the challenge here to learn the story of Isaac the Rich.
Dating to the cusp of the 15th and 16th centuries, the Old Synagogue is the oldest surviving example of Jewish religious architecture in Poland. Now a museum, it houses exhibits tracing the history and traditions of Polish Judaism.
Established between 1535 and 1551, this historic necropolis is one of the oldest existing Jewish cemeteries in Poland. The site holds layered significance for both the local community and visitors tracing Jewish heritage in Krakow.
This modern pedestrian bridge crosses the Vistula River and is decorated with suspended acrobat sculptures by artist Jerzy Kędziora. It marks the boundary between Kazimierz and the Podgorze district.
