South Coast and Sky Lagoon Saman Pass Tour
Glaciers, black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, and geothermal relaxation in a single unforgettable day along Iceland's southern shore.
This Iceland South Coast tour takes you through one of the most dramatic landscapes on earth, from volcanic black sand beaches and towering waterfalls to the edge of an ancient glacier, before ending the day at the acclaimed Sky Lagoon thermal spa.
Iceland's reputation as a land born of fire and ice becomes tangible the moment you leave Reykjavik heading south. The route passes through scenery shaped over millennia by volcanic eruptions, glacial advance and retreat, and the relentless force of the North Atlantic Ocean.
Each stop on this itinerary tells a distinct chapter of Iceland's geological story. By the time you sink into the geothermal waters of Sky Lagoon at day's end, the landscape you have witnessed will have left a lasting impression.

Itinerary
At 66 meters tall, Seljalandsfoss is one of Iceland's most iconic waterfalls. A path behind the falls allows you to walk completely around it, offering a perspective few waterfalls in the world can match. On clear days, views of the Westman Islands stretch out across the horizon.
Skogafoss measures 25 meters wide and 60 meters high, producing a constant mist and, on sunny days, vivid rainbows. Visitors can view it from the base or climb 370 steps to a viewing platform at the top for sweeping views over the surrounding landscape.
A short 15-minute walk leads to the snout of Solheimajokull, an outlet glacier of Myrdalsjokull. Here you can observe the glacier's texture, crevasses, and the visible evidence of its ongoing retreat, making for a striking encounter with Iceland's changing natural environment.
The small coastal town of Vik sits at Iceland's southernmost point and serves as a natural waypoint on the South Coast route. Its colourful church and ocean vistas make it a rewarding stop on the journey east.
Reynisfjara is one of the world's most remarkable beaches, characterised by jet-black volcanic sand and towering basalt column formations. The North Atlantic waves here are powerful and unpredictable, so visitors are asked to keep a safe distance from the waterline at all times.
The day concludes with approximately two hours at Sky Lagoon, Iceland's modern geothermal spa located just outside central Reykjavik. Your Saman Pass includes access to the 7-Step Ritual, which guides guests through a sequence of thermal pools, a cold plunge, a sauna, and steam experiences, all with sweeping sea views.
