Itinerary
Your guide collects you from your accommodation in Brasov in the morning and transfers you by vehicle to Zarnesti, the starting point of the hike at the edge of Piatra Craiului National Park.
The trail begins with a moderate climb through a well-preserved beech forest. The gradient is steady and the forest canopy provides shelter as you gain altitude toward the open meadows above.
Emerging from the treeline, you arrive at Zanoaga meadow where the main ridge of Piatra Craiului and the distant Bucegi mountains come into full view. This is a natural rest and photography stop.
