Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Dahshur, Sakkara, El-Moez Street and Cairo Tower
A single day that spans more than four thousand years of Egyptian civilisation, from ancient necropolis to a spinning rooftop restaurant.
This comprehensive Cairo full-day tour takes you through the most significant ancient and historic landmarks in and around the Egyptian capital, combining the iconic Giza plateau with lesser-visited royal necropolises, the first capital of Egypt, and the living texture of Islamic Cairo. Lunch and dinner are included, giving you the freedom to focus entirely on what you came to see.
The itinerary is designed to move logically through time and geography, beginning at the world-famous Giza plateau before pushing south to the older pyramid fields at Sakkara and Dahshur, then north again to Memphis, and finally into the heart of medieval Cairo for the evening. A guided driver picks you up directly from your hotel, removing any logistical guesswork from the day.
Few tours in Egypt manage to cover this breadth without feeling rushed. The pacing is deliberate: a local restaurant lunch breaks the afternoon heat, and a fresh juice stop at a terrace overlooking the pyramids at sunset provides a moment of genuine calm before the evening programme begins in the city.
El-Moez Street, often called an open-air museum of Islamic architecture, and the rotating restaurant at the top of Cairo Tower bring the day to a close with perspectives on Cairo that are both ancient and very much alive.
Tour Highlights
Stand before the three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus on the Giza plateau alongside the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

Explore the Dahshur royal necropolis, including the distinctive Bent Pyramid built between 2613 and 2589 BC.
Walk through Memphis, Egypt's first capital and cultural centre for over 3,000 years, and see the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.
Ascend the 187-metre Cairo Tower on Gezira Island for a panoramic view of the city and enjoy dinner in the spinning restaurant.
Stroll along El-Moez Street through the historic Islamic Cairo quarter, passing mosques, mausoleums, and medieval gates including Bab El Fetouh and Bab El Nasr.
Pause at a terrace opposite the pyramids for a fresh juice at sunset before heading into the city for the evening.
Itinerary
Your guide collects you from your hotel and drives to the Giza plateau, where you visit the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. The tour continues to the Great Sphinx, attributed to the reign of Chephren, and the adjacent Valley Temple.
Travel south to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid of Zoser, constructed in the 3rd Dynasty and regarded as the world's oldest large-scale stone structure. Lunch follows at a local restaurant before proceeding to Memphis, where you view the Statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx of the ancient capital.
The afternoon continues at the Dahshur royal necropolis, approximately 40 kilometres south of Cairo, highlighted by the Bent Pyramid dating to around 2613 BC. Afterwards, the group stops at a terrace facing the Giza pyramids for fresh juice and the opportunity to watch the sun set behind the plateau.
Transfer to Gezira Island to ascend the 187-metre Cairo Tower, which provides a wide panoramic view of Greater Cairo. Dinner is served in the tower's spinning restaurant, combining a meal with a slowly rotating perspective of the illuminated city.
The evening concludes with a walk along El-Moez Street, one of the oldest thoroughfares in Egypt, lined with medieval Islamic monuments. Stops include the mosques of Barquq, El Aqmar, and El Saleh Tala, the Blue Mosque, and the Dome, Hospital, and School of Qalawoon in the El Darb El Asfar quarter.
