Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Dahshur, Sakkara, El-Moez Street and Cairo Tower
Ten hours across five millennia of Egyptian civilization, from ancient royal necropolises to the heart of Islamic Cairo.
This full-day tour offers an unmatched journey through the most significant ancient and historic landmarks near Cairo, anchored by a guided visit to the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, the Step Pyramid of Sakkara, the Dahshur necropolis, the open-air museum of El-Moez Street, and a panoramic dinner at Cairo Tower.
Few destinations on earth compress so much history into a single day. Travelers move through three distinct eras of Egyptian civilization: the pharaonic monuments of the Old Kingdom, the layered Islamic architecture of medieval Cairo, and the mid-century ambitions of modern Egypt represented by the iconic Cairo Tower on Gezira Island.
The itinerary is structured to minimize backtracking and maximize time at each site. A guide accompanies the group throughout, providing historical context at every stop, from the Valley Temple of Chephren to the Barquq Mosque along El-Moez Street.
Lunch at a local restaurant and dinner in the revolving restaurant of Cairo Tower are both included, making this a logistically complete day with no meal planning required for participants.
Tour Highlights
Stand at the base of the three Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, and visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Chephren.

Visit the Dahshur royal necropolis and see the Bent Pyramid, one of the earliest attempts at a smooth-sided pyramid, dating to 2613 BC.
Walk through Memphis, Egypt's first capital, and view the colossal Statue of Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.
Stroll El-Moez Le Din Allah Street, one of the oldest streets in Egypt, lined with mosques, mausoleums, and historic gates including Bab El Fetouh.
Discover the monuments of El Darb El Asfar, the oldest quarter of Islamic Cairo, including the Barquq Mosque and the Dome of Qalawoon.
End the day with a panoramic view of Cairo from the 187-meter Cairo Tower on Gezira Island, followed by dinner in its revolving restaurant.
