Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach Penguins Full-Day Tour from Cape Town
From Bo-Kaap's colorful streets to the windswept cliffs of the Cape, this is the southern tip of Africa at its most dramatic.
This full-day journey takes you along one of the world's most celebrated coastal routes, culminating at the Cape of Good Hope, the most south-westerly point of the African continent. Along the way, your local guide shares the layered stories of the landscapes, communities, and wildlife that make this corner of the world unlike anywhere else.
The day begins in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town's historic quarter where brightly painted houses reflect a rich cultural heritage rooted in the Cape Malay community. From there, the route traces the Atlantic seaboard through Bantry Bay, Clifton, and Camps Bay before winding south along the rugged Chapman's Peak Drive.
At Hout Bay, an optional boat excursion to Duiker Island offers close encounters with a colony of more than 5,000 Cape Fur Seals. The route then continues into Cape Point Nature Reserve, where fynbos-covered cliffs drop sharply into the ocean and hiking trails lead to sweeping panoramas and the famous Cape of Good Hope signpost.
The return leg passes through Simon's Town, where thousands of African Penguins nest and waddle at Boulders Beach, and depending on traffic, through Muizenberg with its iconic row of painted beach huts before returning to your hotel in Cape Town.

Itinerary Overview
The tour begins with pickup from your Cape Town hotel. The first stop is Bo-Kaap, where your guide walks you through the historic quarter, explaining the significance of its Cape Malay architecture and the community's long history in the city.
The route follows the coastline south through some of Cape Town's most prestigious suburbs. Brief stops allow for photography of Clifton's four beaches, separated by granite boulders, and the wide bay at Camps Bay backed by the Twelve Apostles mountain range.
In Hout Bay, the group pauses for approximately one hour at the working harbor. Guests may choose to join an optional 40-minute boat cruise to Duiker Island, home to over 5,000 Cape Fur Seals, or browse the nearby craft market or walk to Hout Bay Beach.
The tour traverses the full length of Chapman's Peak Drive before passing through Noordhoek Farm Village and an ostrich farm en route to Cape Point Nature Reserve. Inside the reserve, guests can hike, visit the Cape of Good Hope signpost, and take a funicular or walk to the old lighthouse.
Simon's Town, a Victorian-era naval town on False Bay, is the setting for one of the tour's most memorable experiences. At Boulders Beach, guests walk among a colony of African Penguins and can observe the birds at close range on the beach.
Time and traffic permitting, the return journey includes a stop at Muizenberg Beach, recognizable for its row of brightly colored Victorian beach huts. The tour concludes with drop-off at your Cape Town hotel.
