Tour Itinerary
The day begins in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town's historic Cape Malay quarter. Guests stop for photographs of the brightly painted terraced houses and learn about the community's origins, tracing back to Indonesian and Asian exiles and enslaved people brought to South Africa from the 16th century onward.
The route follows the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, where guests may choose to board a boat to Duiker Island to view thousands of Cape Fur Seals in their natural habitat, or browse the harbor market. The seal colony at Duiker Island is one of the largest accessible by boat in the Western Cape.
The journey south continues along Chapman's Peak Drive, a 9-kilometre coastal road hugging sheer cliff faces above the Atlantic. Known locally as Chappies, the route offers some of the most dramatic ocean and mountain panoramas on the Peninsula.
At Boulders Beach in Simon's Town, a wooden boardwalk provides an intimate vantage point over a resident colony of African penguins. Guests can observe the birds nesting, swimming, and moving along the shoreline at remarkably close range.
The tour reaches the Cape of Good Hope, the most south-westerly point of the African continent, marked by one of the Peninsula's most photographed signs. Within the adjoining Cape Point Nature Reserve, guests can hike to the lighthouse summit for sweeping views over the ocean meeting point below.
The return journey passes through Muizenberg, known for its surf breaks and row of colourful beach bathing huts, before a final stop at Maiden's Cove — a sheltered Atlantic cove between Camps Bay and Clifton, suited to quiet relaxation before returning to the city.
