🗺️ What to Expect
Your journey begins in Van, then continues to Dogubeyazit where you meet your mountain guide and check equipment before heading onto the mountain. Over the next days, you hike between camps, acclimatize properly, and move higher with support from porters and horses that carry your main luggage. The rhythm is simple and purposeful, early starts, steady climbs, hot meals at camp, and time to rest so you can feel strong for summit night.
Summit day starts around 1 a.m., with a long, rewarding push to the top of Anatolia and all of Turkey. Weather and conditions can change quickly at altitude, and for the final hour you may need crampons and an ice ax, which are provided and carried up by horses.
