7-Day Amazon Deep Survival Trip to Amanã Lake
Seven days of canoe, camp, and wilderness immersion in one of the most remote corners of the Brazilian Amazon.
This Amazon deep survival trip takes a small group beyond the tourist circuit and into the wild heart of the Amanã Lake reserve, navigating Ubim Creek and the surrounding jungle over seven full days of guided exploration.
Participants sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets, cook over open fires, and travel daily by motorized canoe through flooded forest, open river channels, and dense rainforest trails. The experience is built around observation and practical jungle skills rather than comfort or spectacle.
The route combines the Mamori River corridor with the deep-jungle camping section near Amanã Lake, giving travelers a sequence of environments that few itineraries in the region cover. Each day introduces a different type of terrain or activity, from piranha fishing and caiman spotting to sunrise hikes and wildlife tracking.
Joshua's Amazon Team provides experienced local guides who explain the ecology, medicinal plants, and survival techniques of the region. The pace is moderate, requiring reasonable fitness but no prior jungle experience.
