Calabria Nature: 6-Day Tour from the Sila National Park to Tropea
From the highlands of the Sila to the shores of the Costa degli Dei, a journey through authentic Calabria.
This Calabria nature tour takes travelers through six days of carefully curated experiences across one of southern Italy's least-explored regions, connecting mountain landscapes, medieval towns, and the crystalline Tyrrhenian coastline. The itinerary balances cultural discovery with natural immersion, all at an easy pace suitable for a wide range of travelers.
The journey begins in Cosenza, a city layered with history from its ancient Bruzi origins to its celebrated open-air art museum along Corso Mazzini, where works by Dalì, De Chirico, and Modigliani stand in public view. From there, the route climbs into the Sila National Park, one of Italy's oldest protected natural areas, before descending to the dramatic cliffs and beaches of the Costa degli Dei.
The final days are devoted to Pizzo Calabro and Tropea, two coastal towns that represent the very best of Calabrian seaside character. Pizzo is renowned for its handcrafted truffle gelato and its clifftop castle, while Tropea draws visitors with its tightly packed historic lanes and sweeping views over the sea. Quality 4-star accommodation, guided visits, and included meals ensure a well-structured experience throughout.
