Pink Lake, Nature's Window and Pinnacles Desert 2-Day Private Tour
Two iconic Western Australian landscapes, one seamless private journey from Perth
This Pink Lake Pinnacles and Nature's Window private tour brings together three of Western Australia's most photographed natural wonders across two days of guided exploration. Travelling in a small private group, guests benefit from a flexible itinerary, personal attention from a dedicated driver-guide, and overnight accommodation just steps from the shoreline at Port Gregory.
The journey moves from the vivid pink and golden hues of Lake Hillier near Port Gregory to the ancient limestone formations of the Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park, with a detour through Kalbarri National Park's dramatic gorge country. Each stop is chosen for its visual impact and its natural and cultural significance within the broader Coral Coast region.
Sandboarding at the Lancelin sand dunes adds an active element to the return leg on Day 2, while a lunch stop at the Lobster Shack offers a taste of the region's celebrated seafood. The overnight stay close to the lake means guests can photograph Pink Lake at both sunset and sunrise, when the colour saturation is at its most intense.
Because this is a private small-group departure, the pace adapts to the group. Extra time at a viewpoint, a longer walk through the gorge, or an unplanned roadside stop for wildlife are all possible in a way that fixed coach tours rarely allow.
Tour Highlights
Photograph Pink Lake at both sunset and sunrise, when the water reflects the most vivid shades of rose and amber.
Walk through Kalbarri National Park to Nature's Window, a natural rock arch framing the Murchison River gorge.
Explore the Pinnacles Desert, where thousands of ancient limestone columns rise from the yellow sand of Nambung National Park.
Try sandboarding on the Lancelin coastal dunes, one of the largest accessible sand dune systems near Perth.
Enjoy a picnic lunch with scenic views on Day 1, with bread rolls, cold meats, salad, and a barbecue selection including an optional taste of kangaroo.
Stay overnight at Oceanside Holiday Units in Port Gregory, located 100 metres from the beach and 500 metres from the lake.
Travel as a private group with a dedicated driver-guide who adjusts the pace and stops to suit your preferences.
Itinerary
The tour departs from your Perth accommodation and follows a scenic route north along the coast, with comfort stops along the approximately six-hour drive. The landscape transitions gradually from suburban Perth to the red-earth Coral Coast countryside.
On arrival at Port Gregory, guests have time to photograph Pink Lake and check in to the overnight accommodation at Oceanside Holiday Units, situated a short walk from both the beach and the lake. Time is available to unpack and rest before the afternoon excursion.
The group travels to Kalbarri National Park for a picnic lunch in a scenic setting, followed by exploration of Nature's Window and the surrounding gorge landscape. The natural rock frame of Nature's Window provides one of the most recognised viewpoints in the park.
Returning to Port Gregory in the late afternoon, the group gathers at the lake for a dedicated sunset photography session as the water shifts through pink and gold tones. The evening is spent relaxing at the accommodation.
An early start allows guests to witness and photograph the sunrise over Pink Lake before a cooked breakfast and departure. The four-hour drive south includes a lunch stop at the Lobster Shack before entering Nambung National Park to explore the Pinnacles Desert.
The return journey stops at Lancelin, where guests can try sandboarding on the coastal dunes and take photographs before the final drive back to Perth. Arrival in Perth is expected by late afternoon.
