Croatia Island Hopping — 11 Days
Explore Brac, Hvar and Korcula at your own pace, from golden beaches to ancient walled towns
This Croatia island hopping tour takes you through eleven days of Adriatic discovery, visiting three of the Dalmatian coast's most celebrated islands while keeping transport and accommodation fully arranged. You move freely between Brac, Hvar and Korcula without the logistical pressure, then finish the journey in the UNESCO-listed town of Trogir before returning to Split.
The itinerary is designed to be genuinely independent. There are no fixed group schedules or mandatory excursions, giving you the freedom to spend a morning hiking to Vidova Gora, the highest peak among Adriatic islands, or simply settle on Zlatni Rat beach with a book.
Optional guided experiences — including wine and cheese tastings, English-speaking local guides and a walking tour of Dubrovnik — are available throughout the journey and can be arranged on any day of your stay on each island. The difficulty level is very easy, making this trip well-suited to a wide range of travellers.
Tour Highlights
Zlatni Rat beach on Island Brac, one of the most distinctive stretches of coastline in the Adriatic, with its horn-shaped pebble cape that shifts with the current.
The walled old town of Hvar, home to a 17th-century theatre, the 13th-century Arsenal and a monumental cathedral square framed by Renaissance palaces.
Lavender fields and vineyards across Island Hvar, offering a quieter, more traditional counterpoint to the town's well-known social scene.
Island Korcula, said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo, with narrow medieval lanes, ancient stonemason heritage and locally produced wines from the island's southern vineyards.
Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site enclosed by medieval walls, featuring the Cathedral of St. Lawrence with its celebrated Radovan portal carved in the 13th century.
Panoramic views from Vidova Gora at 778 metres, the highest point of any Adriatic island, overlooking Bol, Hvar, Vis, Korcula and the Peljesac peninsula.
Wine and olive oil tasting sessions on Brac and Korcula, pairing regional varieties with local cheese and bread guided by English-speaking hosts.
Itinerary Overview
Met at Split Airport by a representative, you transfer to the port and take the ferry to Island Brac. Your base for the next four nights is the town of Bol, situated beneath the slopes of Vidova Gora on the island's south coast.
Three full days to explore at your own pace. Options include climbing Vidova Gora for panoramic Adriatic views, visiting the ancient village of Skrip and its local museum, touring the stone masonry school in Pucisca, or walking through black-pine forest to the natural rainwater pools at Trolokve. An optional wine and olive oil tasting tour is available on any afternoon.
Transfer from Brac to Hvar town, the oldest tourist centre in Dalmatia. Spend two nights exploring the Arsenal, the 17th-century theatre — one of the oldest in Europe — the Franciscan monastery with its art collection, and the broad stone-paved main square. An optional guided walking tour is available on either day.
Three nights on Korcula, where legend places the birthplace of Marco Polo among the island's shipbuilding and stonemason communities. The day trip to Dubrovnik is a practical option from here, and an optional wine and cheese tasting at bar Cakula introduces the island's locally grown southern-Croatian varieties.
Transfer from Korcula to Trogir, the compact fortified town on a small island between the mainland and Ciovo. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the Cipiko Palace, the Benedictine Monastery and the 15th-century Town Hall are all within walking distance of each other. An optional guided tour provides detailed historical context.
A final transfer from Trogir to Split Airport brings the journey to a close. The drive follows the coast and takes approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.
