          More to know about Kardamyli

Kardamyli is a coastal village in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece, nestled between the Taygetus Mountains and the Ionian Sea. The village features stone houses, narrow streets, and nearby Phoenikonissia beach. Visitors come for hiking mountain trails, swimming in clear waters, and exploring the well-preserved traditional architecture of this quiet Mediterranean settlement.
Kardamyli is a coastal village situated on the western shore of the Mani Peninsula in the Laconia regional unit of the Peloponnese, southern Greece. It lies approximately 37 kilometres south of Kalamata and serves as the informal gateway to the Exo Mani (Outer Mani), an area characterised by Byzantine ecclesiastical heritage, fortified tower-house architecture, and rugged Taygetos mountain terrain descending directly to the Messenian Gulf. The destination is editorially recognised for its association with travel writer Patrick Leigh Fermor and for sustaining a level of low-density tourism that has preserved its architectural and cultural character relative to more commercialised Greek coastal resorts.
