          Gialova is a coastal village in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece, located near the ancient city of Pylos. The area features the Gialova Lagoon, a shallow saltwater ecosystem important for birdwatching and nature observation.           Gialova is a small coastal settlement on the northern shore of Navarino Bay in the Messinia regional unit of the southwestern Peloponnese, Greece. It is positioned adjacent to the Gialova Lagoon, a Natura 2000 protected wetland of pan-Mediterranean importance, and lies approximately 8 kilometers north of the historic town of Pylos. The area sits within a broader archaeological and natural landscape that includes the Bronze Age Palace of Nestor, the Frankish Paleokastro fortress, and the site of the 1827 Battle of Navarino.
