Super Jeep Þórsmörk Day Tour

Super Jeep Þórsmörk Day Tour: Firstly we will visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall, one of the most iconic spots on the Icelandic south coast. Here you will have a chance to walk behind the water curtain and admire the cascade from every angle. Next our guide will take you to the commonly overseen Gljufrabui waterfall. This smaller but spectacular waterfall is concealed by a cliff rock making it a literal hidden gem of the south coast.

Now we will start our drive to Þórsmork. On the way we will drive all the way up to Gígjökull glacier where you will witness the power of Eyjafjallajökull volcano which last eruption stopped the whole world in 2010. The changes in the area caused by the eruption are still clearly visible to this day.

Then it’s time for the star of the day, the wonderful Þórsmork mountain ridge, a green oasis located between three glaciers Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull, and Tindfjallajökull. The valley named after the Norse god Thor offers dramatic views of rich greenery contrasting with black sand desert of the Markarfljót riverbed seen from Valahnúkur mountain make it one of the most unique locations in Iceland. The specially designed super jeep can handle any terrain, making Þórsmork the perfect place to experience its full potential. Riding through rough terrain and crossing various unbridged glacier rivers, accompanied by the spectacular views will be truly unforgettable adventure.
