Pythagorio is a coastal town and municipality on the southeastern shore of Samos, a Greek island in the eastern Aegean Sea located approximately 1.6 kilometers from the Turkish coast. The town sits on the site of the ancient city of Samos and, together with the Heraion sanctuary, forms a UNESCO World Heritage Site designated in 1992. It serves as a key cultural and archaeological gateway in the northeastern Aegean region.
