Hjalparfoss is a double waterfall located in the Thjorsardalur valley of southern Iceland, approximately 130 kilometres east of Reykjavik. It sits at the confluence of the Fossa and Thjorsa rivers, within the broader South Iceland region that encompasses the Golden Circle corridor and the volcanic landscapes surrounding Mount Hekla. The site is maintained as a publicly accessible natural landmark within Iceland's national road network and forms part of a valley of significant geological and Viking-age cultural heritage.
