Guatiza is a small agricultural village in the Teguise municipality of Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain, situated on the LZ-1 corridor approximately 22 kilometres north of the capital Arrecife. It is best known as the location of the Jardín de Cactus, the final major landscape project completed by the celebrated local artist and architect César Manrique in 1990. The surrounding terrain is characterised by fields of Opuntia cactus cultivated for cochineal insect farming, a tradition with roots in the colonial-era dye trade.
