Tiberias is located on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret) in northern Israel, approximately 210 meters below sea level, within the North District of Israel. It is one of four cities considered holy in Judaism and serves as the main urban gateway to Galilee's biblical, archaeological, and natural attractions.
